FOLLOW THE WIND

Wind blows

Carries particles

Flying in the air

From place

To place

Lands in vacant

Areas

Builds and builds

Earth is form

Seeds floating

Down

Secure themselves

Within the soil

Form roots, stems, petals

Some with faces

Others with vines

Earth becomes alive

As spring approaches

Flourish in the summer

Dies in the fall

Hibernates in the winter

Cycle of life

From beginning

To end

BOUTONNIERE

A chance to be

Part of a festive

Event

Wedding, Prom

Social occasion

See the world in

A different light

Sitting across a

Dinner table

Watching guest

Communicate

Or moving rhythmically

To music

Maybe bouncing up and down

On a dance floor

Walking in the

Garden

Silently waving

To other flowers

Enjoying the moments

Knowing only a

Limited time

Could live

Being cut
