Hedy Habra

The Bullfrog


Like a Mandarin,

staring at his silky reflection,

a Narcissus frog

seated on an Arrowhead leaf

thinks he is a yellow flower.

I watch him,

my own split image,

schizophrenic frog,

conscious of the Other in himself.
